Caladenia nothofageti Plant: to 15cm tall bearing 1-2 flowers, leaf to 20 cm long. Flowers: to 15 cm across, pale green to white with 2 rows of calli and flat marginal calli on the midlobe. Flowering: late November to January. Habitat: typically in red beech forest, montane, also in well lit forest and scrub. Sparsely distributed in widely scattered small colonies. From Wellington southwards. Conservation: not threatened. Notes: like an albino form of C. chlorostyla. Key features: flowers plain, pale without red markings. |
