Calochilus robertsonii Plant: leaf glaucous, strongly V-shaped; Flowers: red bearded labellum with short, twisted, strap shaped tip. “Eyes” set closely. Flowering: November to December. Habitat: clays and peat, in open scrub; lowland to montane. Conservation: a few plants in many widely scattered localities; naturally uncommon, sparse. In Australia. Notes: leaf wider than C. paludosus and labellum tip hidden in the beard. Often occurs with C. paludosus. Key features: strongly striped petals and sepals, densely hairy beard and very short, bare tip. |
