Plant: to 25cm tall. Leaves usually 4, acute 6cm x 5 mm margins often wavy.

Flowers: tilt forward, lateral sepals very long, spreading widely either side of the flower, often with slightly curled tips, ends coloured tawny pink. Dorsal sepal tip is short (compared to the lateral sepals), and extends about 8mm past the end of the petal tips. Labellum green with a dark brown central ridge.

Flowering: December - January.

Habitat: Lowland to high montane. Cool high rainfall forests. West Coast to Stewart Is.

Conservation: Data deficient, scattered, local.

Key features: large flower with short dorsal sepal, greenish labellum, leaves strongly wavy.
