Thelymitra concinna Plant: up to 40cm tall when in flower. Leaves dark reddish-green or reddish-brown, fleshy, often keeled and ribbed, forming a "V" or "U" in cross section. Flowers: up to 6 flowers, to 2cm across, usually blue to pale or deep mauve, petals often a deeper colour than the sepals. Column top open, usually a dark reddish-brown, notched at the back, nobbly. Cilia pink. Flowering: November - December. Habitat: Lowland to montane. Clay banks, open areas amongst scrub. Conservation: Not Recorded. Notes: The pink-ciliated form of Thelymitra hatchii sometimes regarded as a separate species. Key features: reddish brown, horse-shoe shaped column top, notched at back. |
