Plant: Robust, up to 60cm tall in flower. Leaves, long, wide, and keeled forming a long sheath at the base of the flower stem. Flowers: 6 or more, up to 2cm across, plain blue with no stripes, fragrant. The column arms are variable, but usually flat, pointed, toothed blades that lack any cilia. Flowering: October - December. Habitat: Damp areas amongst scrub. Conservation: Data deficient, recorded from Northland but possibly found elsewhere. Notes: A perfumed, unstriped form of Thelymitra pulchella Key features: naked, bifid column arms, blue flower. |
