Plant: not known. Flowers: sky blue or white. Column white to pale mauve strongly arched, opening forward. Top a broad yellow band, with a pair of teeth on each side at the lower forward edge of the yellow band. Column arms with dense white cilia. Flowering: October to November. Habitat: gumland scrub on clays. North of Kaitaia, local. Conservation: scattered, local. taxonomically indeterminate. Far North. Notes: a more slender plant than T. "rough leaf" but otherwise differing only in the smooth leaf and colour. Key features: flowers pale blue to white, column erect, scarcely rounded over to a broad, yellow margin, with a pair of short, broad teeth. |
