Plant: to 43cm tall in flower. Leaves to 30cm long, shallow concave, stiff and leathery, dark olive with reddish margins. Flowers: up to 12, 40mm across, pale mauve, fragrant. Dorsal sepal wider than lateral sepals. Column inclined slightly backwards, pale pink. Top of the column domed, brownish-black. Lateral lobes horizontal, with dense tufts of white or pink cilia. Flowering: October. Habitat: Open areas amongst scrub. Northland. Conservation: Not Recorded. Notes: Key features: flowers white, column erect rounded at the top black with perhaps with a weakly notched, thin yellow margin. |
