Plant: leaves kidney shaped, wider than long, underside silvery tinged purple.

Flowers: tiny, often partly hidden below the leaf litter. Dorsal sepal much loner than labellum tube top. Labellum with prominent midlobe: green throat and two ragged lobes at the bottom, often covered in short backward facing hairs. Lateral sepals purple, erect. Stems have purple flush or stripes.

Flowering: August to early December.

Habitat: beech forest where substrate is moist. Sea-level to 1500m.

Conservation: none.

Notes: leaf is often wider than long, compared with others in the C. trilobus group. Another similar form with dorsal sepal longer than labellum has a more elongate labellum.
